Well, thanks to our abundance of sunspot activity, 20 meters seems to be doing very well in the evenings this week. A LOT of DX out there to be had. I have a pretty mediocre setup for DX with my low dipoles (antenna restricted neighborhood) and I've been making all sorts of CW contacts into Eastern and Northern Europe this evening. It's great! Anyone else on the air?

Nice job, Steve; Worked Russia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Sweden, Poland, and France from here last night; all from the low dipoles, and even managed to break a couple pileups. The bands were awsome! I hope it's like that again tonight.

The last couple of nights have been great from south Texas, I've worked Austria, Israel, Poland, Greece, Western Samoa, Guatemala, and Venezuela on PSK31 with 25 watts and a longwire in the trees. #Now I need to see what I can work on CW. #I'm just starting a couple of weeks off of work, so I'll be able to play radio late at night for a change, hope the conditions hold up for a while! #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I'm with ya baby. European Russia was booming in here at about 0300 UTC at 599 using a simple dipole. Guys, we should get while the getting is good!! Wasn't it only a week or so ago that the solar flux was around 40? Now it is 180! Now THIS is what I call fun.

20 in the evening almost sounds as good as it did in 2000-2002 with almost all of Europe and a lot of Russia booming in with steady signals and very low band noise. Enjoy it whaile it is there.
