HELLO ALL!

My names Jo WØANT.

I’ve been hamming for almost 20 wonderful years now !

I recently had to move into a neighborhood where I cannot
have any type of communications antenna outside my house...

I was forced to install an attic antenna. It’s a long way from the
8 element monoband 20m yagi I have always wanted.. HIHI..

Shortly after being very unhappy about my antenna restrictions...
I found a software program called (( ILINK ))...

It has enabled me to again talk to hams...JUST !!!
licensed hams...all over the Internet...

So I decided I was going to promote this IDEA!...
With a website I have designed.. just for ILINK!

((( http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/alink )))

Here’s my question... You can tell I am a Ham ...
IT takes for ever to get to a point! LOL

Anyway I wondered what the average ham thinks
of THIS (((ILINK STUFF))) is it a new mode…

Is it a threat or our salvation from the Internet taking away
all our new hams!

REGARDS

I like ilink..... But one thing about it makes me gag..... Hams calling CQ on ilink..... Take it for what it is..... Internet voice chat connected to repeaters.....

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif What can I say. DXCC on I-link intriguing idea? Other awards, well maybe i'll have to think a bit more about it. Anyway you could be like me just enjoy I'link for what it is. Another mode of experimental amateur communication.

But hey there back to the topic. If you guys only log on and then wait for some- operator to call you could be waiting a lonnnggg while. If you do not call CQ on an I-Link connected repeater or click on the mike and transmit icon on the ilink user board, to make contact with that with another fellow amateur you might as well try another experimental mode of communication. "ESP". But then again that only works when some one actively participates. Is that you? or are you still sitting waiting for that call. Still wondering if I'll give the thumbs up for an I-Link awards scheme

Awards are good for amateur activists, lets hope there is enough out there to make awards worthwhile.
