Old news there, OBN. #So what exactly is your point, posting the full text of a petition that will be a year old next month?

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif now wait a minute...let us be NICE here, since we have folks READING these posts who do not have the PRIVILEGE of having an AMATEUR radio license on their wall...so ...to show how large our good side is... I shall politely ask some one to print in 100 words or less a " lay mans words for the FIRST post in this thread ".
Simply put, reprint the first post in simple terms so that those who ARE reading this without the PRIVILEGE of an AMATEUR radio license on the wall, tha bility to read and understand what the first post said.
We only get ONE chance to set a good example, and this is it.
So now, some one please put the first posts words in simple terms.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Respectfully yours

Darn! Do I have to go through the first half of 2004 again?
And by the way, I noticed that the US gave Panama the Panama Canal. I'll see if I can find that news article. And one report says we made it through Y2K just fine.

Oh, my. Just can't stay away from the flame, can we?
Now, folks, exactly what would you expect the NCVEC membership to include? Only representatives of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators?
You'd be wrong. One NCVEC member is not a VEC representative, and has not been associated with a VEC for many years. He is, however, a member of the board of NCI. You'll see his name at the bottom of that petition.
Also, that position was adopted without any input from the nation's largest VEC - as many exams conducted yearly as all the others put together. The board of that organization was caught with its pants down, and took six months to get up to speed.

OBN:
Why didn't you just put a link to this instead of posting the entire text? That would have been MUCH easier!
Also, you are getting pretty close to violating the moritorium on the code / no-code debate since that is a primary subject in this particular submission to the FCC.
By the way, this particular submission, as well as several others, have been cussed and discussed previously here on QRZ.com.

Exactly what I thought! I figured it was a sneaky end run to try to get into the subject in such a way no-one could safely reply without being banned. Yep. Real sneaky!
