Hi Bob,
Look for an AFC, automatic frequency control setting. It should cause Digipan to "lock on" to the signal.

I did not see anything in the help file that directly addresses your problem, but if you put the mouse on Options, you will find a drop-down window that has two functions, "Snap" and "AFC" . #You might try turning off one or both of those functions by unchecking them with the left mouse button. #Also, you might want to "lock" your transmit tones so that the other station is not playing leap-frog with you. #This often happens when both stations have their AFC functions turned on, and the transmit tones follow one another up and down the band!

I notice that Rob posted before I got this msg finished and gave just the opposite advice. #That might be the correct advice, and mine might be incorrect. #The point is that you will just have to experiment with the options and see if one way works better for you than the other! # Radios have different characteristics, and that is why the options are there!

The following Yahoo discussion group might have a better answer for you:

Hi Jim,
I don't have Digipan in front of me. Snap, which I had forgotten about, will cause the program to adjust itself. AFC would try to keep everything in the same place. For QSOs I'd keep AFC on and SNAP off.

p.s. I am quite willing to stand corrected if necessary.
