View Full Version : KC8LKI
I'm about to do a deal with Tony, KC8LKI and his name appears on the Hamster shack bad guys list as well as the list held by K8ERV. I've asked Tony to explain why he's on these lists, so far I've not heard a response, so I thought I would ask here. The deal is on hold until we get it figured out.
Thanks
Eric

Strange, I have never been contacted by anyone on my bad guys list. I am always happy to remove a name/call if things get settled.

LKI contacted me and said the problems have been resolved, so I immediately removed him from my bad list.

I would however, recommend that you proceed with caution. Unless the seller can offer your some reasonable explanation, etc., I would opt to pass on dealing with the individual. Sometimes, people post a negative without all the facts, etc. Other times, the "dealers" don't stand up to the sale and act responsible and therefore, deserve the "negative" rating.
It is always a gamble dealing with "sight unseen". I always offer money back if the item isn't as advertised. Never have had anyone take me up on that offer yet! Hi.

I also give a Satisfaction Guarantee on all items I sell, and have never had a problem. The only way to go

KR8K;
Is your dealing regarding a Yaesu FT920 for $600?
If so, he has said he sold it to me, of which I have sent a money order down already.
Let me know ASAP on here so i could either stop delivery of it, or drive down personally and get it before it gets delivered.
-OR- I could be jumping the gun here, and maybe your dealing is not for the 920.

Well;
I had tried to locate a number for Anthony Lake, (W4LMW/KC8LKI) via the net, but to no avail. I have emailed him a few times also, but no further contact from him has been made.
I did send a money order to him via USPS Priority but with no contact/phone number, that made me skittish. I called down to the post office in his town, and faxed a "Return to Sender" form. This way it was redirected back to me.
Currently, it is on it's way back to me.
Now I am not saying Tony is someone not to deal with, there may be circumstances of which I am not aware of that prevented him from replying to me.
But, I felt it better that I get the money order back in my hands, and await contact from him.
Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I have been burned by KF4NNA
in regards to sending a money order, and never recieving the radio. And other deals gone bad that I have read on here.
I don't want anyone to think I am badmouthing Tony, like I said, there can be many reasons why he has not contacted me.
Hopefully, Tony and I can get together and finalize our deal. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Read up a few posts and you will see his callsign (whichever he is using this week) about scamming someone else out of some money. I have seen his callsign pop up frequently as a scammer. Do a web search on his call, name, etc. Be surprised what will pop up.

A very good idea. Rather be safe than sorry. Good luck! Larry
