I hate to say this, I can live with this better than the impact of BPL.

Hate losing any frequency spectrum -- once it's gone we will never get it back

Imagine that. A corporation wanting part of the choice spectrum we enjoy...while we carry on acrimonious arguments about CW, doofuses on 75 meters, truckers on 10 Meters and, yes, among ourselves, right here on QRZ...Legend has it Rome burned while Nero played his fiddle...You know the FCC loves you...untill they get a chance to auction off some spectrum and collect that pound of flesh-from YOUR back...Kinda makes you feel warm and fuzzy, eh..?

For starters, the broadcasters were _given_ their HD channels when other corporate interests have to pay good money for licenses or worse yet, pay good money to participate in a lottery. I'm not crying, especially since may other electronics devices like wireless mics operate in exactly the same manner.

The amateur allocations that Nextel/Verizon/et al would be interested in taking are, unfortunately way under utilized. Is anyone here on 1.2 gig? Anyone using anything above that?

If you want to keep 'em, use 'em.

GHB:

Altough legend says that Nero "fiddled" while Rome burned, history actually says that his direction of the fire fighting was one of the very few things that he actually did in a positive manner.

Do not forget to write your anti-BPL letters,
encourage new amateur radio participation and generally be nice
to one another. That is all.
