Frauded me out of money on an ebay purchase, albeit, not a large sum, I have no idea how much they are attempting to fraud. I got scammed on e-bay by these losers and to date, e-bay has done nothing to moderate the situation.
From now one, I won't ever use e-bay again. Should call it e-scam!

Did you pursue it though Safe Harbor?
I have more than 150 auctions under my belt on Ebay, and while they are out there, I haven't been truely burned yet. Well, one; I have a doorstop for a hard drive from one auction. Lesson learned on that one; no DOA guarantee, no bid.
Meanwhile, I continue to participate in auctions..
I contacted e-bays moderation team and they did nothing.
Being it was $35 I suppose they figure, what the heck. Isn' worth it.

4 years ago, someone posted feedback other than positive about me as a seller.. It was either in retaliation or in error.. No item number was listed, and since I've never been an eBay seller, I asked that it be removed.. During the course of several months, many emails were exchanged between eBay and myself. We discussed the details but they refused to remove the feedback.. The last time I had anything to do with eBay was May 11, 2001.. Until the feedback in question is removed, The situation will remain as such.. I have absolutely nothing good to say about eBay...
For those who'd like to take a look, my eBay user ID is my call sign...

I would have to agree with you. I won't be using it any further either.
I am soured by any organization that sponsors a website and then doesn't enforce or assist individuals in resolving problems with their website without paying an additional fee.
I am filing an internet fraud complaint and a US Postal complaint. See where that takes it, which is probably no where also.

- i had fun with ebay for a while and did use paypal as well...
- however, paypal has a set limit on the amount of money you can send when using a credit card... when you hit that limit it then insists on linking your paypal account to one of your bank accounts with you granting paypal the right to deposit/withdraw as it deems necessary...
- you'd have to be nuts to allow this!
- there are many horror stories about paypal and ebay...
eBay is really eFence.
I purchased a small item using eBay, the seller never shipped the item, I complained and got NO WHERE!
The item was ony $12.00 (shipping was an additional $12.50 - which should have been the warning sign), I sent the guy $24.50.
He never sent the item. SafeHarbor is a SCAM. They require $25.00 just to investigate the claim with no garrantee of recovery. To spend an additional $25.00 for a $24.50 item was just not in the cards.
The seller got negative feedback from me, but that had zero effect on him or his buyers.
And to top it off, ebay threatened MY account if I tried to seek justice (vengance:)

That is why I give much more credence to EBay sellers who take postal money orders and will accept payment throught the US Mail.
Mail fraud is serious business, thus this is one way I use to separate the wheat from the chaff.
The whole ebay/square deal nonsense is just that. Nonsense. They do about as much as an individual can do when they get screwed. E-mail the loser to see if they will make good on the deal. And, ebay wants $25 to do that???
Since their site represents the sale, they should be offering the service free, if you want to call e-mailing someone a "service".
I just file an IFCC fraud complaint since it is internet fraud to start with and see where it goes from there.
I love the "AS-IS" comments in regards to electronics. Yeah, I can power up something, but I sure better determine if it works. A dial lite doesn't mean an item works and the old excuse "damaged" in shipment is pretty lame also.
I don't have a lot of respect for e-bay. Most are honorable, but then again, you run into individuals that clean out the crap from their garage via e-bay.
Should call it e-scam.

Absolutely! If I see something on eBay and the listing says "paypal only" I move on! Those listings probably drive many sales away doing that. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Unfortunately, in this case, the Seller did take a Money Order, albeit, not a US Postal Money order.

I have bot over 200 items thru Ebay, and I love Paypal. Guess I have just had good luck.
