I purchased a couple of things from them online. I received a confirmation that the order was received, but I have never received notification that the order has been processed. My credit card has not been charged either.

Last Friday I e-mailed their "get info about your order" address inquiring about it and have not received a response.

It has been 2 weeks since I placed this order. Do they normally take forever, or should I cancel my order and go to ham radio outlet?

I have had the very same experience with them also. It’s a shame that the store with the best, easy to navigate and find things web site, has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I personally cancelled two orders before I quit ordering from them.

Yeah, it's a bummer because from the quality of their web page it really seemed like they have their stuff together. Hopefully mine and SAM's were isolated incidents.

I'm going to call them tomorrow and if they haven't shipped yet, I will cancel the order and drive up to HRO next week.

RIQ - I would not blame you for your actions, I like the other Gentleman have made three recent purchase's from Universal and have gotten great service, most recently a Diplexer for a 100 watt dual band Base rig.
Hopefully your Phone call will set the record straight.

Okay looks like the recent issue I had was a confluence of many strokes of not-so-good luck, and none really Universal Radio's fault. I called them today, they were courteous and professional, of course. Turns out that both the items I ordered were on back order, AND they were unable to verify my mail address so they tried e-mailing, but the e-mail did not go through for some reason. Then the last factor was my own fault; they tried calling twice but I did not recognize the missed call phone number on my cell phone so I ignored it. Thus they cancelled the order.

They said they won't have those parts in stock for a couple weeks so I let the order stay cancelled, and will see if HRO up the road has them. If not I'll just wait it out.

So they have still got "cool points" in my book. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

One of only three retailers that I will use! I have always had great service from them, on-line and on the phone!

I like Universal's owners and staff but HRO and AES has got my last 2 rigs and many accessories, Heils etc. I would call Universal and it seems that most items tend to be out 3-4 weeks on back order. Inventory is cash therefore, I think they carry as alittle as possible. I call AES or HRO and within days I get it from Cleveland or Delaware. In fact, I'll drive up to Cleveland to AES rather then Universal in Columbus for that reason. But, I always had good staff contact.
