Interesting conversation going on from what I hear via the internet on Shoutcast.com
Use your Winamp player
N6HGG (http://68.6.21.69:8000/listen.pls)
Or go to 3.840 MHz on your HF rig

Well it appears it's dead on there now and Art is doing his show. I have come to find out that the internet link to that HF freq is only on in the evenings. Mornings or any other time is MIA from the shoutcast site.

I really enjoy a good evening of listing to AM broad cast on the Short wave.
I'm glad to see that some others enjoy the same sort of entertainment.

They either were totally mis or uninformed or they just felt good bad mouthing the US in time of war some what of a Jane Fonda approach to politics.. I support #GW and what he is trying to do to settle the middle East problems and I think his approach to the North Korean situation was the best, any one of intelligence could have taken. Now that he has turned Clinton's economy back around I see no reason he should not be given the chance to complete what he has started with another 4 years ,he sure as hell has my vote. There is no question it will take a few more years to overcome the mess the Clintons left the country in.
As to the Radio Program ,I understand Art does a week end program every SAt and Sun night. I don't listen as I get saturated with BS from the Internet and have no need for an additional source.[/QUOTE]<span id='postcolor'>
I filtered out most of what was said by those guys. #Art can be interesting when it comes to a good and sound discussion with corroborated facts to back it up. #I turn off the program when he and George have guest who start discussing things that honestly... #Are out of left field.
I could say more, but I am not going to disrespect a fellow amateur like that. #I wouldn't mind one day making a QSO with him and tell my coworkers (who avidly listen to C to C am) that I got to talk to Art without being on his show. #I am sure they would like to know how in the world I did that... #Good way to talk about and promote Amateur Radio.
Regarding the shoutcast feed. #I got to talk to Bob (N6HGG) who runs the feed (That had Art talking on it earlier). He has it on in the evenings, but has it off while he sleeps most of the day. #Was able to do a "QSO" with him and John (AC6LB) via AOL IM. #Bob relayed my comments as he talked with John and we had a modified round table. Those guys are really nice, very intelligent, and absolutely funny with some of their satire.

... anyway, I can't find shoutcast.com on my HF or VHF receiver, and neither of them has winamp, either. Maybe it's on VLF? Or EHF? Let's see ... Oh! They are on the Internet, not ham radio! No wonder! I was looking in the wrong places! Guess I'll keep missing the 'important' stuff. Darn!

Or the wrong path.. depending on your point of view.
nuff said. I try to stay out of politics and religion discussions on the web as I tend to tick people off.

I too sometimes like to listen to Art and some of his friends QSO on ham radio. Their discussions are usually a bit more cerebral than what I am used to hearing elsewhere on 75 meters. A refreshing change indeed.
I don't see eye to eye with Art politically. Art is an outspoken Libertarian, and I am ultra conservative. But I still enjoy listening to his point of view on issues political.
I would love to QSO with Art sometime, but I rarely hear him in the General portion of the band. Mostly, I would like to thank him personally for his part in raising my interest in amateur radio.
I appreciate Arts point of view on the President and the war, but I would make the point that, now more than ever, we need to put this harmful debate behind us. This country is committed to the cause in Iraq. Its a noble cause, and its in our best interest, and the best interest of the long term interests in the Middle East, and the World. Political partisanship is inappropriate on this issue just now. Too many eyes are upon us to assess our resolve. Any sign of double mindedness or desention in that resolve only serves to strengthen our enemies, prolonging the conflict, delaying Iraq's recovery, costing more lives, costing more money, and subjecting all sides to more terror. I cannot think of one single positive outcome by continuing this debate.
This country needs to put forth an unshakably unified front. The terrorists will only exploit any division among us. History will sort this all out when the war is over, but trying to sort it all out now in full view of the world is counterproductive in every way. How would our soldiers view our contention here at home? How would our allies view our division?
We were attacked on our own soil. Without warning! Without a declaration of war! Where is there room for desention?
And if there is the slightest justification for desention, why is it necessary to vocalize it to the world on HF radio?
This is a FREE country. But I choose to keep my desention to myself until the war is won.
Just one man's opinion.
