Interesting that the two people who posted the corporate interrelationships have been banned. Sounds to me like the webmaster is being a bit childish.

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif I thlought ai saw something on e - ham last night as to where " you have to SUBSCRIBE to be able to read the PRODUCT REVIEWS, or any thing else beyond the front page " ...what about all the folks who CONTRIBUTED their opinions, etc on those products...will they have to SUBSCRIBE just to read their own reviews, and all the other folks reviews ? It does not sound very fair. Maybe I should be saying this in E - HAM website instead of here...be right back... ( lol ) http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ...---kd4amg---
All I can say about e-ham is...if they're having trouble paying for bandwidth, soon they will no longer have that problem. Nobody will be using their site!

Its been said many times and many ways, now repeat after me...
You Do Not Have Free Speech On An Internet Chatboard
Everything about the internet is private property, everything, including the network you are logging into. You are a guest in the owner's "house".

Radio police? Huh? eHam is not "radio" - it is internet. You must mean the "web police?"

However, many have the right to complain about it as they wish, which they do rightly so, charging people to read Product Reviews written by others is actually illegal, since the respective hams own copyrights to each which aren't given up online (I do not intend to start a P2P flame thread, although I will say the RIAA has a seriously screwed up interpretation of copyright law), the reviews are allowed to have FREE distribution (I don't think there is any ownership/authorship agreement), but they can't be paid for, since the copyright (as far as I can tell) was never given or sold to eham.net.
It could also be that it was apparent to them (whether it was your intention or not) that you would try to stir up trouble in that thread and in the future. I still think they are being childish, because if that is what they thought, they could have sent you a warning first. Time to build up the QRZ.com product reviews section (or make it similar to eHam.net's, but free).
Do not forget to write your anti-BPL letters,
encourage new amateur radio participation and generally be nice
to one another. That is all.
