Born in 1940 and licensed at the age of 9, Curtis was a ham almost his entire life.
Amateurs from the mid-Atlantic region may know Curtis from when he worked at EEB (Electronics Equipment Bank) in Vienna, VA, and after it closed down he moved on to the Ham Radio Outlet stores in Woodbridge, VA and Salem, NH.
He retired in the mid-90s to Jacksonville, North Carolina, where his wife Penny - KD4BPR, works for the USMC at Camp Lejeune. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, three daughters, 17 grandkids, and a lot of ham friends.
Curtis, you were a great Elmer, a good friend, and I regret not staying in touch with you over the years. Hope to see you again someday.
