These old ears can't make much sense at all (if there is any sense to be made) of a bunch of people talking at once, so it's a waste for me to listen there.

But I tried it. About three minutes is all I could take, so I'm back to a net, and later I'll head on down to CW.

I am not much into self-torture. But you guys that enjoy listening to that stuff, well, kick back and enjoy.

Trust me my friend.....there is NOTHING enjoyable about listening to people make such a mockery of amateur radio, especially since its not themselves alone that they hurt. They hurt all of us and they put all of our PRIVILEGES in jeopardy!

I for one, don't take kindly to it. Not only that, I'm going to DO something about it.

And that is not all.....I already DID http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

The evidence that I captured tonight on audio cassette will weigh heavily, especially on top of other evidence that has been acted upon already!

It is my honor and my pleasure to be a part of such action that will result from this effort.

No slack, no slack, no damn slack!

Hooooaaahhh!

BGO and CRX:

Both you guys missed my point completely...

I didn't say I was ignoring the problem.. And the dead horse I made reference to was NOT the illegal operators..

Let me make myself perfectly clear..

The Dead Horse I'm referring to is the repetitious postings on the same subject (currently four threads) by the same person....

You can post a reply to my comments if you want, just don't expect me to read them.. I won't be back to this thread anymore..

I'm probably bordering on a personal attack so I'll hit the "Add Reply" button now..

Don't you people realize by posting this on QRZ you are only worsening the problem? So you don't like someone on 3945 and they are being a lid. Now your idea to combat their bad operating practices is to make a post specifically about a certain frequency!

What an idea! Not only expand their audience on 75M, but now lets give them internet attention!

If you are really concerned about these people on 3945 and their operating practices, why give them an ego boost and more of an audience? Kind of contradicts your intentions, I think.

How about you guys from 3945? Since this is about you do you have anything to say? Any rebuttals? It's always good to hear the other side of the story, if there is one.

YUP.....Just as I suspected.....something is really happening on 3945. If you had been listening tonight, Tuesday, March 9, you would have heard it for yourself.

Its about damn time too. Now, I just can't wait until the paperwork is done and the Feds can move on to the next bunch.

God's Speed Mr Hollingsworth!

Nope, wasn't listening. Too busy having fun talking to friends on 75M. Boy the low bands had some big signals tonight! 75 started lengthening out at about 8 PM or so here. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

EBM,

I thought you had told us all that the moderators here restricted you from mentioning frequencies here on QRZ?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Isn't this where someone snidely remarks, "if you don't like what you hear...turn the dial, turn the radio off...etc."

Personally, I don't sit and listen to lids let alone respond to them, on the air or on here. My recommendation is if you hear something questionable, document it, tape it and and send it in. The wheels move slow, but they grind up many in the path as it rolls forward. The Feds have been known to pull licenses.

NJ1K

My instructions from Fred were a little more detailed than I have revealed on this board. Essentially, I am not allowed to mention frequencies. But the boys on 3945 have been talking openly about what's going on down there. In doing so, they have made it part of the public domain.

Furthermore, I didn't use that freq in conjunction with any call signs, or names. And neither did I make any ad hominem attacks.

Besides, I've seen many other posts that included frequencies and associated them with certain activities of those using these frequencies. There can be no harm talking about what is talked about openly on the radio, is there?

Those new rules apply to all of us. Fred's intent was to prevent QRZ from being used as a boxing ring. Can't say as I blame him either.

Isn't it funny though?

Nobody makes any bones about expressing their disdain for the freebanders and other illegals on 10 meters.

And rightly so!

And nobody makes any bones about expressing their glee when the freebanders and other illegals on 10 finally get their due.

And rightly so!

But when the light of scrutiny, and the hammer of enforcement is directed toward we Amateurs, all of a sudden we start displaying a "double standard".

I congratulate Riley Hollingsworth for not reserving his efforts only for freebanders, but that he is every bit as concerned about the violations committed by licensed amateurs.

I think its high time that amateurs clean up their own back door before accusing others. Amateur radio has a LOT of dirty laundry. And I think it is highly hypocritical of us to focus on the sins of others without first dealing effectively with our own.

No double standard here!

"Ode to Goob" #

Absolutely NO doubt about it now
Something has DEFINATELY happened and WOW!

I've listened to the din of silence all night
Only ONE of the regulars even keyed his mic #

I listened intently for my ears did itch
To another maroon who keyed up and said, "you SOB"

Then what before my tympanic membrane did roar
The response from the regular, "we don't condone that no more!"

To myself I did say, scooping my chin off the floor
By gum he's done it....Ole Riley's settled the score

Now let this be a lesson to those who scoff
The MAN ain't playin, he's callin' your bluff

To those who have ears, now listen to this
This is ham radio, not CB with a twist

If you bother to come here, you'll go by the rules
If you don't, you'll be forced to join the rest of the fools

But if you are wise, you'll choose to do good
As did this amateur, welcome to ham radio Goob http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif #

Glad you decided to join us. #Hope to QSO with you sometime.

Hey Tom! You're welcome Buddy, besides, it was my abundant pleasure. But I haven't even begun to pleasure myself yet. There will be more!

But, shucks Tom, I can't take much credit for this action. I was but a small part of it. There are many out there who serve in total anonymity. They will never be recognized for their contributions. It is to them that we owe our gratitude. Not me.

And this says nothing for the FCC Officials who have to face these potentially dangerous scoundrels. I don't envy them for the risks they take to enforce the rules.

I think the best way to express our gratitude to them is to keep hounding Congress to maintain the funding and other resources until the job is done and substantial compliance is achieved. After that, we need to pressure Congress to make adequate resources available for maintenance to ensure that we are never again plagued by lawlessness out of control.

Let me know if there are any other "special projects" that I can be of service to. I am nowhere near satiated! Besides, I'm not an ACE yet http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
