Hi,
Having just recently gained my license, I am now using a crystal-controlled FT-2F. Unfortunately the transmit does not work on some of the bands, I have changed the crystal to no effect, unfortunately I have no schematics for the transceiver and, being a beginner, am very hesitant to delve into it.
