Another FT-897 review

Got the 897 last Friday, and used it on Mt. Wilson.

For those of you out side of the Los Angeles, Ca area, Mt. Wilson is the MAJOR hilltop in L.A. for major networks (i.e. ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.), with a noise floor of close to 20 over S9.

I tried 6 meter simplex, and WOW!!!!!!!

This is the BEST 6 meter radio EVER!

The HF is AWESOME as well.

I could go on, but why?

If you have one, you know.

Glad to see you like yours as much as I do every day I find another thing about it that just blows me away. Yaesu knocked this one out of the park . I thought they would have a hard time building one better than the FT-1000 MK 5 but they pulled this one out of there hat . Im just another Very Happy owner of an FT-897.....

I'm soooooooo plannin' on getting one as my "gift" for getting my ticket upgrade.
