During the last year prices on Collins seem to have dropped overall and are very unpredicatable. The receivers you mentioned have gone for as little as $700 and up to $2000 for good condition and with the right buyers around at the time of sale. Mint still demands big bucks but that has changed somewhat too. I would be very careful if I was buying a high priced item for investment purposes.
