Saw it and read it.
Time, just time and it will all pay-off in time.
HURRAY.
Stay off off of 10 meters unless your licensed to transmit there.

Hope this really results in action and not just lip service...
I would have much preferred, instead of warning letters, actual action taken, e.g., tracking and equipment confiscation, immediate fines, etc.
Only when real action is taken do the "others" stand up and take notice. And maybe, not even then.

Read up a bit on the problem of storm chasers and radar. Also, read up on the danger of nearby exposure to these devices, especially when mounted on a vehicle.
I also participate in Skywarn. #The NWS has radar. Our only purpose is to give on-site accounts of the weather at our particular spot. #Radar is for professionals, not hams who think they are. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Took a very long time, but now the fruits have ripened.
Maybe with these warnings the word will travel to some of the other trucking concerns, at least we can hope.
Good job, and not a bit too soon.

Now , if they would be able to come down hard on Copper Electronics , H&Y , etc , we might see some real progress . But in the meantime , I have to say : Thank you Uncle Charlie , good job well done ,and keep after 'em .

Ah, United Package Smashers...or is it Unlicensed Pirate Stations? Maybe they should have used 220-222 when they had the chance..
There are problems with operating a marine RADAR on your vehicle.
First the RF exposure is something you DON'T want! Remember.. microwave ovens cook flesh and RADAR transmitters are nothing more than a microwave transmitter with a gain antenna. You get in the near field of a marine RADAR and you might find yourself unpleasantly surprised. Those antennas have very POOR sidelobe (radiation off the main axis of the main beam) rejection/isolation so you can be off to the side of the main beam and still get a fairly indecent dose of microwave RF.
Secondarly, the marine RADAR can (depending on where it is used) cause interference to other users. THAT is one reason why it's verboten for use in vehicles.
Even the 'low power' marine RADAR units for pleasure boats are quite QRO when you consider the PEAK power they radiate using a very nice gain antenna.

Ufortunately, the FCC guys are Regulatory enforcement
officers, not Law Enforcement Officers. #To do what Mr. Katz,
and I for that matter, would love to happen would be a
joint operation with some Federal Officers such as the U.S.
Marshall Service, or the FBI. Haul some butts to jail! Yeah!
It has happened in the past. It may happen again. #I would hope so! But the FBI and the
Marshalls seem to have their days occupied with murderers,
theives, rapists, child molesters. and terrorists. That seems
to put radio bandits down pretty low on the food chain. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
But we can always hope! #I would certainly love to see
the FCC be able to do more. #Right now, I'm thankful to have
Riley! #

It's about time! The situation with the marine radar in Wichita has been well know for a long time, too.
Hey guys - hang onto that dish. Use it to build a high speed network link between your mobile and a base station that can send you updated NOAA radar pictures, and you can send them live pictures of what you're seeing! Then publish how you did it. My SKYWARN vehicle would look better with a dish on top of it.

Well, pardon my French, but UPS sucks! Since I've been here at my present location, they have tried to deliver here and failed on 3 separate occasions because they claim I "don't have a valid street address". Funny thing...FedEx has delivered out here at least as many times and they have never said that...they've been able to find me every time! FedEx is so much better than the "Unionized Package Smashers" - screw them, do yourself a favor and use FedEx!
(and no I do not work for FedEx)

Fry their brains maybe , I guess that they don't realize thats a Part 80 peice of equiptment and requires a GROL + to properly install and as well work on the insides of that rotoring antenna, anyone wanna donate them some Ibuproffen when they start to complain ?
FCC was right in issuing a NAL to protect them from themselves.
They might as well join the Joint Military CB Radio Club

Maybe it was just band conditions, but I've noticed a considerable drop lately in the number of CB'ers on 10m too. I wonder if it has anything to do with the UPS crackdown?
I have heard some more skillful pirates on 10m though. Instead of the blatant CBer giveaways like the echo chamber use, the beep when they unkey, and all the CBer jargon, some of these guys have fake callsigns and ID every 30 minutes or so. Of course, it's kind of obvious they're fake when they announce, "hey bob, do you remember your call yet??".
