Alinco DJ-296T [Archive]

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to add a 220 MHz HT to my equipment stash and am considering the Alinco DJ-296T. Does anyone else have this rig? What do you guys think about it?

Hi Shawn, the DJ-296T is a nice little HT, just like it's stablemates for 2 meters and 70 cm. The only problem you may encounter is finding anyone to talk to on it. I don't know about your area specifically, but around here (Wash. D.C. metro area) 220 mhz. is pretty much a dead band. Anyway, best of luck with it if you decide to get one.
