All amateurs have their bouts with harmful interference from time to time. #Whether it be chasing down that RFI problem interfering with your XYL's favorite show, to dealing with Freebanders or LID's buring up the airwaves -- all of us have our stories.
My funniest experience with harmful interference occured overseas when I was in the service and didn't even use amateur radio equipment.
Few folks ordered wireless baby monitors and shipped them to Germany from the use, not familiar with bandplans and frequency restrictions for the local area. #Next thing we knew, German Police were knocking on our next store neibors door -- seems like their child's crying was coming over the police radios. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif #Needless to say they pulled the plug.
Yep -- band plans are important. #So is knowing where and when you can operate. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif #
What's your story? #Any good fox hunts lately?
