I'm looking at the Elecraft K2/100 as my next rig. Anyone owner or have worked a K2/100 would be my best choices.

I just finished a K2 (#3877) and the SSB option. #Am working on assembly of the 100Watt option now.
Having owned a few commercial rigs, I think the K2 is surpurb, especially on CW. The DSP filtering works great and the receive audio actually SOUNDS good, not so with some of the other rigs I've had.
It has become my primary station now.
It's no real trouble to just build the basic K2 and then add the options that you want later. #It is a great learning experience and rewarding.
Wayne and Eric of Elecraft have done an outstanding job with the design, manual, and, most of all, the tech help. #If you're patient they won't let you fail.
I would compare the performance of a fully-loaded K2 at about US$1300 to any top-end rig costing almost twice that.
There are reviews at the ARRL of the K2 and some optional units and they compare quite well with the big guns.
I think you would be pleased.
