I recently became interested in optical signalling using simple domestic LEDs and lasers.
The Isle of Man is nicely visible from my QTH on the island of Anglesey, and with the 'chimney effect' (refraction), on some days I can see street lights, others they're below my horizon.
If anyone on the IoM with the right aspect to Anglesey would like to get in touch and see if we can get some visible photons across the Irish Sea (no modulation at present!), then I'd love to hear from you - email on the QRZ page, of course.
