Holy smokes!
I passed my Element 4 on Saturday, Dec. 13.
At around 1800 Dec. 16, the ULS was updated with my new license info!
As a ham I'm really pleased. As a taxpayer I'm impressed!
Way to go, Gettysburg!
Oh, and I must also credit the VEs and the Laurel, MD VEC! Outstanding!
I have had a wonderful experience throughout my ham radio license exams!

Same. I passed my Element 2 at about 1330 on December 6, it popped up around 1400 on December 9.
Amazed me too, especially after reading on some web site about it taking 7-10 days. Kudos to the VEs.

Same here. I passed my tech exam on June 23rd, and my call was in the database on the 26th! 3 days! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Make sure your name is spelled correctly. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif sigh. I filled out a 605 to correct my name. I got my new license and it's still misspelled!!!!
Oh well, not your problem, just venting.
Congrats on the upgrade.

Congrats on achieving Extra!
The fastest turnaround I've seen was from an upgrade test on Sunday afternoon, and the FCC database reflected the new class at about 10 a.m. on Monday morning. Fast enough to make your head spin!

You should have been around when it took 3 months to even find out if you passed the Novice test. Those weeks were quite edgy, and not in a good way. Today's system is certainly better.
And CONGRATULATIONS to all who upgraded! Enjoy those new privileges. You earned them.

i could not have gotten as far as i did as fast as i did without having the support and encouragement of the local club, the Mount Vernon Amateur Radio Club... a bunch of really great folks who go out of their way to help get new people into ham radio and help nuture new hams...
even though i live in a townhouse condo, with their help, i was able to craft and install a 'stealth' windom, and acquire the perfect rig for my needs at a reasonable price... since then i've had QSOs from California to Cuba, Cinncinati to Curacao, and across the Great Pond using anywhere from one-half watt to 100 watts...
ham radio is simply an amazing hobby!

We did a session Sunday afternoon (14 Dec). The upgrades and new licenses were posted this afternoon.
Even I was amazed, as we send ours in to ARRL VEC via UPS 2nd Day Air. Normally that means If I drop the package off on Monday, it gets to Newington on Thursday, and to the FCC later that day.
Guess UPS put on extra help for the season . . .
