View Full Version : QRZ Network Bandwidth Upgrade Complete

The holidays have come early for QRZ as our new bandwidth upgrade is now fully operational.
At approximately 15:00 UTC on December 15, the second T1 line into the QRZ servers was activated. #We are now connected to the internet with a combined total of 3 Mb/s of continuous data throughput. #The new line runs parallel to our original connection and serves all incoming and outgoing requests (regardless of address) equally.
We hope that this upgrade will make QRZ seem faster and more responsive to our 185,000 registered users.
Our staff wishes to convey their sincere thanks to the worldwide amateur radio community for making QRZ one of the most popular ham radio sites on the internet.
Happy holidays!
The QRZ Staff

Things were quite slow at times during this past weekend's 10 meter contest. All that is a distant memory now. Thanks for the present!
