This kit is the most amazing thing I've ever played with. #The KX-1 is easy to build, and puts out 4W on 20, 30 and 40M (with the optional and inexpensive 30M module) with a 12V power source (around 2W with internal battery pack). #It's massively digital inside and the kit building experience is better than Heathkit for understandability and simplicity. #The rig has a built in keyer, 500 to 2K infinitely adjustable audio filter, USB/LSB receive for SWL reception (or cross mode communication) and an optional automatic antenna tuner that will blow your mind. #
