The Icom CI-V manual does not list the IC-730 as having a CI-V interface, which is what is used to control an Icom transceiver from a computer. Over the last 22 years, I have never encountered an Icom 730 owner wanting to interface his or her transceiver to a computer.

I downloaded the manual for the 730 and from what I can read (not the best copy of the manual as far as clarity goes) it appears that the 730 cannot be connected to a computer. The ACC jack is not set up for that purpose.
I know the IC 735 can be connected, been there and done that. But sorry, it appears you can not do the same with your 730.

To clarify, the ACC jack on the IC-730 cannot be used for PC control of the rig. However, if you want to interface the rig to your computer for digital modes via the sound card, it is possible. My local club has an IC-730 which I have successfully connected to a SignaLink USB soundcard interface and made contacts using JT65-HF. It required obtaining the proper Molex connector for the ACC jack, but it's certainly do-able.
