Free memory software at the Kenwood site, too. I suppose the modular microphone connectors are strong enough, but I really wish amateur radio companies would stick to the metal kind (whatever they are called.) on their FM mobiles. I wonder if there is a massive heat sink at the back, or if it is a small one with a fan (or two)?

I wish they would go back to the 8-pin screw-on type mic plugs. Sounds like a nice rig. Thanks! Larry

This kenwood is just great.NICE is the manual just easy to understand and a keeper radio :DJIMMYK8OMP
