Where were ya'll at during Jamboree on the Air? WOuldve loved to talk to ya'll
I fear you may run into a few headaches on 20 meters with the CQ WW DX Contest running this weekend (http://www.cqww.com). #If you find an open frequency on 20, you will probably have a lot of people asking for your RST and CQ Zone.
Actually, it might not hurt to actually run 20 meters as a contest operation and then submit the log. #The scouts will be amazed at how many countries are on the air during an event like this.

Good luck with the demonstration it should be fun. I demonstrated ham radio to my son's Webelo den last weekend during the annual Webloree. I set up an FT-817 and a small dipole in the trees at the campsite. The kids enjoyed 2 meters and HF. Several of them were interested in CW.

Yes, KD5KUF, you're right on track. That is my nickname, "Evil Weevil".
Not to be confused, however, with the famous stunt master "Evil Kneevil".

aa1mn,
Have you ever heard the song from the late 60's, early 70's called, "Boll Weevil Airlines"? It was on a 45rpm record and the flip side was "Poor Old Ugly Gladys Jones".
The first one was what came to mind when I read your comment. Since we are about the same age, it is possible you heard these tunes too.
Awakens old memories of all sorts. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

KD5KUF,
In all honesty, Joe, no I do not recall the song which, according to a quick bit of research on my part, shows that it seems to have been performed by Waylon Jennings, who did a wonderful version of "White Lightning" which I do have in my collection, circa 1964.
Now, of course, I'm gonna have to track that down and listen to it. You are correct, by the way, in placing it on the "B" side of "Poor Old Ugly Gladys Jones" from what I found.
Thanks for the info.
Yours,
Chuck, AA1MN
