"Back in April of this year I was searching for a place to print my full color QSL cards. I have a digitized photo of a mountain scene that I wanted printed. I quickly learned that this was an expensive proposition. Then I found on the net a place in Russia that was advertizing 1000 custom full color qsl cards with back side printing for about $100.

I figured I'd take a chance and see what happend. Worst case is I'd spend $100 and get nothing, best case is I'd get some awesome QSL cards. So, I contacted Valery Kharchenko, RA6YR at http://www.octavia.com and told him what I wanted to do. He assured me it would be no problem. He was always VERY responsive to my email questions.

Now to the meat of the story. I received my QSL cards yesterday. They came to me via insured USPS and arrived in great shape considering the distance traveled. I took out a card and looked at it and really couldnt believe the quality. These things are great! They are exactly what I wanted at a price that you cant find anywhere. The only drawback was the 4 month wait to get them made and shipped.

So if you're wanting some fully custom, full color, photo quality QSL cards, I'd suggest giving them a try. Just be patient because after 4 months you'll start to think you're not going to get them, but you will!

I will agree.

Valery does great work on his QSL cards,
I designed my own and e-mailed it to him,
and in less than a month I had 2000 of
these fine cards.

Nice card........ but I ordered mine from Octavia in early March, and despite having paid for them have still not received them!!! #Service seems a bit problematical in my experience. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I have just ordered my second batch of QSLs from Octavia.

The first batch was of very good quality at a price that cannot be beaten.

I am a very happy customer, and highly recommend Octavia as a first rate business.

Yup, it does take a while to get your cards, but it is well worth the wait.

Nice cards, I have found that Power Point also can make quite nice cards also. Put your picture in the background and then text over it. Also have found that some cheaper brand Matte finish photo paper works really nice. I have put the info on the front, possibly not all the info required but being only a tech. studying to upgrade this has worked well for me. This is a copy of one I have made for a local school student that was looking to make contacts. Can vary the size and also flip the paper and print info on back if you wish. Anyone need any info on this feel free to email me.
