Hello,

Anyone here use DXLab along with the Elecraft K3? I've had a problem during some experimentation that I'm trying to resolve.

1) My setup includes a serial port (Port 16) which is split using Serial Port Splitter software into 3 virtual ports: COM4, COM5 and COM6.
2) DXLab Commander works 100% when connected to the real port (COM16).
3) Commander will connect to the virtual COM4, 5 or 6 and will work until I shut it down. When I restart, it will not work on that port again. I have to go into config and change to one of the other virtual ports....ultimately, I am having to jump back and forth between COM4 and COM5 by entering Config each time I start Commander.

Anyone else ever try anything similar, and if so, did you also have problems with Command and the virtual serial ports? Every other software package (Fldigi, HRD, WSPR) that I've tested works just fine with the virtual ports...only Commander is having a problem.

Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have.

Commander uses the standard Microsoft MSCOMM32.OCX control to interact with serial ports, and has been used extensively with virtual serial port applications like VSPE and com0com. If the Fabulatech Serial Port Splitter software you're using isn't working correctly, I suggest you try VSPE or com0com.
