I am unable to tune my UHV-6 Comet antenna system to my IC706 and unable to find a troubleshooting guide for the same...I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, ideas, recommendations, comments, or even snide remarks that would help me get on the air...Thanks in advance...73s...Ray...N7CFF...Eagle River, AK...907-854-5350...

Here if the link to the comet PDF of the instruction sheet in case you didn't get one with your antenna, But I can't help much beyond that I've got the UHV-4 with an FT-857 and it tuned up fine with the help of an MFJ analyzer. If you can borrow one of these it may be a lot of help

In my honest opinion, the UHF6 is one of the worst VHF antennas made. It is not sturdy by any means, and the addition of an HF coil just adds insult to injury. And speaking of which, even the 10 meter coil isn't much more than a dummy load.
