Brad Johnson (aa5ch@arrl.net) writes "I learned today that Ranger Communications will soon be introducing a multimode six meter mobile transceiver. According the specs provided by Ranger, the rig will cover 50 - 54 mhz with output power of 25 watts PEP on SSB, and 10 watts on AM/FM/CW. The suggested retail price will be $325. Apparently, 20 meter and 40 meter models are also in the future.
Since no one seems to be manufacturing multimode two meter transceivers anymore, it will be interesting to see if Ranger introduces one in the future.
