Members of Oregon Tualatin Valley Amateur Radio Club will be joined by
other amateur radio operators in providing communications assistance for
CYCLE OREGON 2001, September 8-15, 2001. This annual bicycle event
tours some of Oregon s most scenic places. The 2001 event will take
participants into Oregon's desert around Steens Mountain.
Amateur radio operators supporting the trek invite ham operators around
the world to join in the trek. W7OTV, the club station, will operate
from each day s focus location. Hams who are logged by the Cycle Oregon
ham support team will receive a special award marking their
achievement. W7OTV will operate each morning and evening of the trek,
except Saturdays, September 8 (evening only) and September 15 (morning
only). Times of operation will be 6:00 ? 8:00 am and 6:00 - 8:00 pm
PDT. Approximate frequencies are: 7290; 14290; and 28490.
QSL cards may be mailed to the Club at Post Office Box 5132, Aloha OR
97006-0132.
