The radio is mounted in a dove tailed wooden box 220mm long, 150mm wide and 180mm high it has a hinged lid with a leather handle on the lid.On the front of the box is a transfer which says Edison Bell radio, and a roundal, in the roundal is the BBC logo with type approved by postmaster general written on the outside of the roundal.

On the inside of the lid are
the directions for use and Post Office Reg. no.615. the set has 2 crystals with whiskers, 1 Sleaford coil, an aerial terminal, earth terminal,2 phones terminals and 2 4 volt power terminals. There is also a light under the 2 crystals. The set is in excellent working condition and was made by J E Hough Ltd Edison Bell Works, London."
