View Full Version : Some logbook enhancements for consideration

I upload all my contacts into QRZ along with eQSL & LoTW. The following items are something to consider for future enhancements.

1) A way to quickly filter on a specific call from any logbook display. You can drill into the specific contact, but I'm not aware of a way to see all contacts for a specific call. This would greatly increase the efficiency of finding a call which is new and needs to be confirmed and seeing all the logbook contacts for that call. Today I need to filter on Unconfirmed In, not the call, go back to All entries, enter in the call and then click search.

2) When visiting a QRZ detail page for an operator, a way to quickly filter on your contacts with that operator. At a minimum, at least some indication that there is any logbook entry associated with that operators call. There's definitely a performance impact to consider, but I think it would be a beneficial enhancement, even if just for paid subscribers.

I had received a few direct emails on this asking this. I've actually found a reasonable workaround that allows me to much more efficiently handle #1 above. I open 2 QRZ logbook tabs in the browser and in 1 logbook tab I filter on Unconfirmed In. This shows all the calls I need to confirm assuming they indeed match. In the 2nd logbook tab I leave the filter on All Contacts and then enter in the call of 1 specific contact from the unconfirmed window and search on that. I then confirm if appropriate and go to the next contact from the 1st tab. This makes the entire process much faster than using 1 logbook tab.

The 2nd suggestion above is still one I'd like to see in the future.
