I have a call sign that was previously held by an active ham, but was vacated for several years before I applied for it as my vanity call. There are some unconfirmed contacts in my logbook from long before I was licensed that must be with the previous person to have what is now my call. Is there a way for me to clear them without rejecting or deleting them? I can't confirm them since they weren't with me, but I don't want the other party to lose it either.

Thanks, and 73!

A logbook records QSO's that are specific to a given callsign. Therefore any QSO records entered against that callsign will flow to that callsign's logbook.

You are interested in only those QSO records that apply during the period the callsign is assigned to you. By not rejecting or deleting other records you are correctly being considerate to the others that have held the call. For now, continue to ignore these records.

Because the QRZ callsign database has no assignment date period information, it yet cannot so catalog the records. The possibility of introducing this capability is on the list of needs to be considered as time permits improving the logbook.
