Ham Impersonator

I know this is supposed to be ham to ham references but I got ripped off on eBay by a person that goes by vj0899 .

This person seemed like a ham but turned out to be a ripoff .
She sent me a HTX 10 that did not receive or transmitt and when contacted she told me to **(^%#@$ off .

I left negative feedback for the first time and she left me lies and negative feedback .

Another reason why I no longer buy (bid?) on Ebay items.. Just for the record -- I have never sold any thing on Ebay.....

I buy and sell regularly on eBay. #I have two negative feedbacks. #Both are 'revenge' for my posting bonafide negatives for dishonest sellers. #I've learned a lesson. #Don't post negative feedback. #Good guys finish last.

My issue is with Ebay's policies and personel.. A few years ago someone posted a negative feedback accusing me of being a "difficult" seller... My records show that I have never been a seller in any of my ebay transactions. I contacted Ebay and pointed out that the feedback entry obviously pertained to someone else, Ebay refused to remove it or conduct any type of investigation.. I was told that after a certain period of time, the negative entry would automatically become a "neutral"..

Ebay will never, ever get my business again..

I would rather buy radio stuff from a dealer or a real person than dealing with people of of E-Bay. At least you can see and play with the item before buying

I came accross in my 10 years as a Ham people pass on air phoney calls, as well in person, a former employee who was a habitual liar ! # #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif # I looked up the Exact call here and found out he was lying thru his teeth, I know that there are con-artists male and female I deal with them off air as well. #It's a poor deal some dame took you for a bad deal on that HTX-10, and she probably split town. #I have a sneaky feeling that she bought the rig to mod it over for 11M. Cb & the thing blew up. open the case and check for a Solder pad it may been left soldered, unless she did a crappy unsoldering job without using solder wick, &/or solder sucker unit. #I think that it would blow the main processor if I recall right chances are if you want to fix it, unsolder the mess and see what Radio Shack will charge for that microprocessor, or send it in for repair and explain the issue. who knows what the repair bill is, just a wild hunch. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I have bot over 150 items on Ebay. I have had only a very few bad experiences, and a LOT of great deals. Probably about the same ratio as buying from local stores. Just gotta be careful, as with any dealings.
