I just got Echolink up for BARS and noticed that when connecting you don't hear "Connected N9LJY" over the BARS repeater just N9LJY. When disconnecting you hear "N9LJY Disconnected fine. Any Ideas? I'm new at this and not sure if all the timing is correct. There really is no help file /s that I could find to help in setting up echolink... Thanks, Tom. N9LJY

I was going to connect to see what your system would say. N9LJY not found was what I got. Since I don't know the BARS node number, I am sad I can not help more.

You might ask the folks on the Echolink refector (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/echolink/).

Hope that helps.

You'll have to make sure you have the Announcement settings set properly. I am set up for All users, All users and Defer if freq is busy. You may be setup for suppress all under announcement muting. Others use different settings.
