A similar situation occurred at our radio club one fine day wherein a member of the club wanted to run more power during a ham radio demonstration.
This member reached over and turned the station amplifier on, and announced to the audience at large that we were now running "big power!"
Never mind the fact that the radio was on fifteen meters and the amp was on twenty, or the small problem where the savvy operators had disabled (as in turned off) the radio's keying relay and the very small fact that the amp was also still in standby.
Small points but telling all the same. To this day, he probably wondered what we were laughing about...
