The original Japanese supplier for the Kenwood HM-5 headphones has stopped supplying parts (replacement cushions and foam inserts) in the past 2 years.
For replacement of the foam inserts, I used the Heil EP PM Pair Cotton Ear pads for the Heil Pro Micro and new traveler dual 2.75 inch circle ear cushion.

Retail price is $ 8.00
It is a suitable replacement (size) for the deteriorated foam in my old Kenwood HM-5.
You won't have the internal circular ear foam that Kenwood used -- but the only difference is that I turned the volume down a bit from my previous setting.
