How are folks efficiently confirming incoming entries in their log? Here's what I'm doing and I'd be interested if there's a more efficient way.

When I see there's a log entry that needs to be confirmed, I do a search (filter) on Unconfirmed In. That shows all the incoming log entries not yet confirmed. I then note the call associated with the log entry and on the search/filter pane I set it back to All Contacts, let the pane refresh and then enter in the call I noted and do a search. That brings back all log entries (incoming and outgoing) sorted in date/time order. I then match up the unconfirmed incoming request with my outgoing request and confirm/save.

I then lather/rinse/repeat the process for any additional calls for new incoming log entries.

Is that how you do it or do you have an alternative method?

I uploaded all my QSOs from since I got the call KE3FG. So only the other party needs to confirm my contacts. Before I subscribed to the logbook a few incoming QSOs came in, so I manually confirmed them. But now I upload the QSOs on a regular basis, so I don't need to confirm incoming contacts.

You need to confirm incoming QSOs. I have uploaded all of my contacts. Incoming contacts (blue arrow pointing to the left) will show up with a green check or a red X. Nothing is automatically confirmed which you can see for yourself by selecting Unconfirmed In in the Show drop-down on the left.

You need to confirm incoming QSOs.I just checked my QRZ logbook and I have a total of 7 incoming QSOs which I have already confirmed before I uploaded my QSOs. The most recent incoming QSO was on 9/3/2010. I uploaded about 4900 QSOs shortly thereafter, and have a total of 108 confirmed contacts. I doubt if I will get many incoming QSOs when I have already uploaded the contact; all the other party will have to do is click on the green check-mark.

Lets set up a contact, just now getting back into ham trying to work all states with my new call. I have no QSO's with your location confirm yet. I have no confirms at all. That way I can get a confirm in my log.

Well that will be goal this coming weekend; to get a confirm QSO in my QRZ log book. CQ CQ CQ QRZ members de kj7yqk.

I was wondering if there is any talk of the different groups getting together to compare data.

I plan on printing some good old fashion cards to mail out. I need some cool wall paper in the office.

This is pretty much the way I do it. Works pretty well that way.

The problems I have are when I go to edit the info. One annoying thing is that when the incoming has a frequency and no band. You'd think that the software would fill that field. When I go and enter the correct band, the exact frequency is erased and a generic default frequency is filled. Grrr. If the software isn't going to autofill the band based on frequency (first choice) then it should leave the entered frequency alone when the correct band is selected.

Same problem with Grid/Lat Long.

Also the country field defaults to Netherland Antillies. Wish it would be the last slected.

I think it would be even better if the Log software were to fetch the country from the QRZ database, since it already fetches a lot of other minute details from the QRZ database. The QSOs that have already been confirmed cannot be edited to change the incorrect Netherland Antillies to whatever the correct country is, even the United States.
I think this problem should be high on the To Do list.

Sure, which band and what time would you like to use?
