The ATAUTO_N3ZH software and documentation is available in the files section of the N3ZH_Software Yahoo group.
ATAUTO_N3ZH was originally written to control the excellent Palstar ATAUTO antenna tuner, but over time many more functions have been added. To gain the most benefit you need a computer controlled antenna tuner - Palstar ATAUTO or LDG AT200PC antenna tuners. However, one can still get benefits from this software even if you do not have a computer controlled antenna tuner.
ATAUTO_N3ZH knows every time I change the radio's frequency and notifies my auto-tuner, notifies my CK1610 relay box to autobandswitch my amplifier, and can notify many other devices like the Expert 1kFA amplifier, other types of amplifiers, STEPPIR antenna, etc.. ATAUTO keeps all my equipment informed of frequency changes.
The CK1610 relay box is a low cost RS232/COM port interfaced relay box. Other software uses a Parallel Port to then talk to a relay board to control equipment. The problem is that all the laptops and even many major brands of desktop computers to not have a parallel port. In addition the vast majority of USB to Parallel Port adapters are made for printing only and do not compatible. Using a RS232 COM port relay box eliminates the need for a parallel port on your laptop/computer.
ATAUTO_N3SZH can also control the LDG DTS6 antenna switch, can do callsign lookups from the FCC database (but you gotta download it yourself from the FCC website because it is a big file), can do keyboard to keyboard WINMOR (the ATAUTO_N3ZH installation includes the latest version of WINMOR TNC).
ATAUTO_N3ZH really tries to integrate all your computer controlled radio equipment to orchestrate antenna changes and frequency changes. It is the orchestry leader keeping everything working together.
ATAUTO_N3ZH provides several banks of memories - each of which can hold thousands of frequencies - including which antenna to select and what capacitance and inductance to set the antenna tuner. It includes a bank of common Marine frequencies, and a bank for SWL listening - where it uses the EiBi SWL database file.
Now if you are using a Flex/PowerSDR radio you will find that Ham Radio Deluxe overloads PowerSDR. The HRD main program overloads PowerSDR with too much polling of information that you already have displayed in PowerSDR.
The ATAUTO_N3ZH s/w allows you to use HRD's logbook and HRD's DM780 programs and lets them know the frequency, mode, etc..
