I'm still pursuing N7DRM David Mobley of the McMinnville Oregon area for a V-7000 radio that I paid $145.for in January. As far as I know he's still on the lam. Warrants are still out for his arrest. But just in case he tries to repost items for sale....BEWARE! Let me know if you come across this guy. # Hank K2HJB

Good post Henry. #Let's not forget about this crook. He has $125 of my money for the same radio that neither one of us received (it was a V-8000, by the way). #We'll catch up with him sooner or later.

KC8VLQ, Seems like you got a better deal then the other fella. Maybe a V-7000 is worth more.
Just trying to make lite of a bad subject.

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif Well, I heard from Mr. Mobley a few weeks ago. It sounded like he had mended his ways and was going to refund my money ($125 for the radio I purchased but he never sent). But it looks like he has changed his mind again. Perhaps a little jail time would give him ample time to reconsider his ways, eh ?

I also have heard from Dave. He is going to make amends with all of those he has wronged, but it is going to take more then a few weeks to do.
This is not an excuse, but you should know some of the forces involved here. I will spell them out, Medication, Divorce, Financial Hardship, Health Problems, Extreme Outside Pressures (Ham Radio Related).
I realize there is little compassion in the current litigious society, but he needs a little more time. This is a man who was 110% dedicated to ARIS and furthering Amateur radio in the community. He fell on hard times after a divorce and his diabetes went out of control with all the common associated mental and physical difficulties that go with it. He is trying to put the pieces back together and I know he will.
It only took a few minutes to defraud, but it will take time to make it right. In the name of Jesus, let’s give him a chance.

I really have nothing to add here, I just want to keep this thread alive. I still haven't received a refund or a radio on this deal.

Keep up the good work - maybe someone will get a refund. I surely hope so........
