FYI,
I just bursting my bubble. N8JUQ is now N8JUQ/AG. Yep I passed my element 3 exam today and I'm now a General Class Ham.

Congratulations Robert, and welcome to the wonderful world of HF. Understand you are also a pilot. I had the same thrill passing my Advanced in the late 60s and my Private Pilot (SEL) in 1972. Hope to work you on HF sometime.

Way to go Robert! I know I sure felt good after passing it. Don't know if you plan to operate any CW or not, but it's addicting. I'm a long way from being a good operator, but I'm havin' a blast practicing.

Hey Robert. Having been a ham since 1957 and a pilot since 1967, I can tell you the ham radio will be with you long after your can't pass the physical for the flying. Ham radio is much less expensive and really gets more fun the older you get.
Just keep that pride and operate with a real sense of pride you deserve.
