Just so you know, adding fields requires a re-layout of the QSO page. Our database has PROP_MODE internally, but there is no standardized definition for SAT-NAME. We could make a stab at it allowing, for example, 16 characters.

Also realize that adding extra fields to the database affects every single record in the database. In simple math terms, if we have a million logbook entries then adding a 16 character field (which 99% of the time will be empty), still takes up 16 Megabytes of disk space. Nothing comes for free.

You are the first to request this. Before we jump in and start supporting rare modes, I think we should get some consensus first.

Thanks for the reply Fred, I am surprized I am the first to even mention this as LoTW has these fields and Sat names are 4 or 5 character, for instance AO-51 or AO-27 etc.
eQSL just supports the PROP_MODE which is SAT. Just something you may want to think about as it seems Satellite stuff is getting more and more popular. All of the contacts in my log are Satellite and I have been doing it less than a month, sitting at 50 contacts so far and I only work them on the weekends.

I mentioned this previously, but can the Maidenhead Grid Square be included in the QSO page? These are now taking the place of QTH locations.
