On the MH-48A6J mic, do the A, B, C, D buttons have a purpose? I could not find anything in my FT-8800R manual or on the net.

On your radio ... probably not ... the G4WPW site has much good info. This mic is used on other radios however.

Click on the link then the pdf for the schematic. On some radios they can be programmed for other functions.

That is what I figured, that those buttons functioned on other applications.
