Yaesu is pleased to release preliminary information regarding the most anticipated unique new product for their Amateur Product Line in many years: The FT-817 HF/VHF/UHF 5 Watt Backpack Transceiver!
I am excited to hear about the new FT-817. It will be a 5 watt, all mode DC-Daylight type transceiver. As soon as I heard about it, I had to hunt it down! Initial specifications show it to be an excellent QRP radio. The size is 5.31" x 1.5" x 6.5" (WHD). All the features associated with modern radios (and more) are in this tiny package. I know I will want one ASAP
