Hi,
I am having problems with my HW-100. It puts out a little over 125 watts on all bands. That is not my problem. It is the RX. I can't receive. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix for this? I once found an article suggesting a diode, but I got busy and lost the article.
Thanks all help is appreciated.

You can't receive at all? Nothing? No signals? Weak Signals? Same on all bands? Only on some bands? Noise? Noise is peaked with the preselector or not? No sound at all? No audio? Any s-meter reading on receive? Can you hear the calibrator? Can you see a reading on the meter when the calibrator is on, and you are on the 100 kc points? Totally dead receiver?

My first thought would be you are probably getting audio from the speaker. But of course, I'm guessing. You might check the TR relay. It could need cleaning.

No sound at all? AF output tube? Bad speaker? Speaker shorting jack messed up? Preselector not set correctly?

Hiss? No signals? Preselector not correctly tuned. Defective TR relay.

Weak signals? Needs alignment. Bad TR relay. Drive belt broken, not tuning correctly.

Check the manual in the Troubleshooting section. It may help you.
