Yet another upgrade of cellular phone technology, not radio.
The radio link is nearly irrelevant. Once any signal (even radio) is "broken" through a wired link---at any time---it ceases to be radiocommunications as far as ham radio is concerned. Seems as if the author can't "see the wood for the trees".
