Alkaline battery corrosion

The last time I removed the old batteries from my antenna analyzer I found that the Rat Shack batteries in the holder had left white residue at the contact points bcause of leakage.
I'm using the bunny batteries this time.

Nothing is damaged, but what is the easiest way to remove the junk before it gets worse?

if you can remove the battery holders ,you can use baking soda and water. i have used it many times with great results.
