Howdy,
You did better research than I did. I ordered mine from http://www.texastowers.com/index2.htm and I've nevered heard of a bug date. If I remember right, I ordered mine around June or July of 2001. TT is a good place to buy Ham gear. They are usually priced pretty low too.
