HI All,
I dont really know how to put this but I got a really great friend who introduced me to Ham Radio, I wish I could find a way to help him, He has become disabled and is unable to get out I am in the same situation but I never was as dedicated as he was at the top of his garden there is a butternut he looks at it daily. His bedroom is covered with QSL cards from 340 countries he only has two plaques 5BWAZ and K6SSS award for CQWWDX contest World Single Op Single Band 80m winner . I have asked local clubs if they can help but without joy I hope he does not find out I have posted this but its a desparate move. he is not well. any old timers out there who was on the top end of 80m in the mid 80's would have heared and wkd him.
Is there any charity or organisation that helps disabled people so that they can get even a RX can't find anyone here. I have used this as he has gone to bed and left it logged in.

I read and re-read this and tried to figure out what the op was asking for.

A radio for the disabled GW?

An antenna????

Not clear what the story was, as it seems to be lost in translation. Don't GW's speak the Queen's English too?

I think he's a little crazzy ! If that is the answer, what was the question ?

It sounds like the gentlemen in question (Roger GW4OFQ)? is without operating equipment. The post did say he has a Butternut in the back yard.

Perhaps the Butternut (which one?) needs work as well.

Or perhaps his disablity is preventing GW4OFQ from operating, but to what extent it's not clear.

"John" may be speaking the King's English, but he definitely needs to work on his grammer and punctuation. A failing that is seen on this and other forums every day.
